PAIA Manual
A practical guide to requesting records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000.
Effective 23 September 2026Purpose and availability
This manual describes records held by Van den Berg Media Holdings (Pty) Ltd and how to request access. It should be read with PAIA, its regulations, and the Information Regulator’s guide. A copy is available on this website and by request from the Information Officer.
Records we may hold
Records may include company and governance documents; financial, tax and accounting records; client and supplier agreements; project, creative and operational records; personnel records where applicable; website, marketing and communications records; intellectual property; information technology and security records; and records required by applicable legislation.
Records available without a formal request
Public website pages, published service information and legal notices are available without a PAIA request. Other records are not automatically available merely because they fall within a category listed here.
How to request access
Submit the prescribed PAIA request form to D van den Berg at lets@conneqt.co.za. Describe the record clearly, identify the right you seek to exercise or protect, explain why the record is required, provide proof of identity and state your preferred access method. Prescribed forms and current fee information are available from the Information Regulator.
Fees and decisions
Any prescribed request or access fee must be paid where applicable. We will consider the request within the periods set by PAIA and communicate the decision. Access may be refused on grounds permitted by PAIA, including protection of privacy, confidential commercial information, safety, security and legally privileged material.
Remedies
If a request is refused or not answered within the statutory period, the requester may use the remedies available under PAIA, including a complaint to the Information Regulator or an application to a competent court.
POPIA requests
Requests to access, correct or delete personal information may also be directed to the Information Officer. See the Privacy & POPIA page for details about the information we process and your rights.
